Micheners Alaska 
by strikerzz on May 17, 2007 James Michener is very descriptive in all of his books. I am truly sad when I finish a book. I feel that I am leaving friends behind. He not only describes the location but the personalities that lived through the ages in the location of each book. I have never visited Alaska but I believe I have seen it through his eyes. It is possibly the next best thing to being there.
