by michaelt on January 17, 2008 theroux's insights and prose are terriffic...great bookHe rather conveniently ignores the fact that he was indeed already a pulitzer prize winner and acknowledged literary star when he endures this trek. thus, he is able to avail himself of some benefits that are lightly glided over. Otherwise, great.
