An intimate portrait of a complex mind.
by Hans on January 10, 2008Shadows of the Sun is the collected diaries of one of the most interesting poets of the 20th century. Harry's life burned with a bright incandescent heat & his poetry is a vivid reflection of this. When Harry served as an ambulance driver in the first World War he narrowly escaped a certain death. It was after this close brush with death that Harry began to explore his writing talent. This book captures some of Harry's most personal writings & also includes several of his poems. It is a rare chance indeed when we are given the opportunity to witness a poets evolution so thoroughly in one book.
