Zombies and ninjas and swords - oh my!
by Bryn on September 8, 2012Despite the fact that there was no original book to parody for Dawn of the Dreadfuls (as opposed to having Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice as a prerequisite for the first book), this novel was still a fairly decent book. If you ignore the fact that it doesn't mimic Austen's style at all, and the language has been "dumbed down" quite a bit, you will be able to enjoy this book: it is a quick and easy read that leaves the reader satisfied in its relation to the Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Dawn of the Dreadfuls retains the humor and wit from the first book, and fulfills its purpose in being a prequel by providing an engaging story of the life of the Bennet girls before the PP&Z plot.
