The problems in fighting the mafia

This is a very good book about the modern history and fight against the mafia. It is also useful background for the Italian scholar about the corruption that pervades Italian politics. I was genuinely moved by the fates of prosecutors Falcone and Boresellino. It is not, however, a book for someone who knows nothing about Italian history and politics. There is a certain amount of repetition and an awful lot of names to try and remember!
