1943dot's review of The Piano Lesson the piano was the lesson 
by 1943dot on December 9, 2010 Whereas this may not be August Wilson's best remembered play, it has a lot to say. While not perfect in its construction or its references, it is strong in characterizations and language. I have never seen this play staged but have read it outloud in a play-reading: it is both powerful and compelling.
