Murder and torture
by Denzil M on June 24, 2010I have read several books dealing with the horrific crimes of the Nazis in Europe during WWII. I knew the Japanese did some terrible things after conquering country after country. As I read the book, I was reminded again that man's inhumanity to man knows no boundaries. Iris Chang's book shines the light of day on the rape, torture, and murder of tens of thousands of men, women, and children. The treatment of young girls and women was beyond bestial. I know there is still much controversy over the use of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but I can't keep from thinking justice was served. As I read, one verse from the Bible came to mind. It is in Hosea: "They have sown to the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind."
