Compassionate Treatment of Difficult Subject
by OneHalfdancer on January 14, 2010Tuesdays With Morrie will make you laugh and cry. Mitch Albom's treatment of his visits with his old professor shows a kindness and love for someone who had a deep and abiding impact on his life. Morrie's condition worsens until his death due to the affects of ALS and spells the end to the Tuesday visits. I read this book in order to gain insight into what to expect in regard to a dear friend of mine of over 40 years who is rapidly deteriorating from Lou Gehrig's Disease. It is sorrowful to watch Morrie's decline, but Mitch's experience will help me deal with the inevitable relative to my friend. Wonderful book treated with the kindness and compassion of two men who understand each other and who have a deep affection and trust. Recommended for Men and Women. My wife is now reading it and finding it as enjoyable as I did.
