Wilson's Creek History 
by merryjaz on January 15, 2009 I have read many books and articles about the Battle of Wilson's Creek in Southwest Missouri, but Piston and Garrett's book is the best. Not only do they cover the battle itself, but also insights as to the major, and some minor, players, the people who lived there, the political climate. I came through feeling as though I'd lived it. Now reading it a third time.
