Wide range readers blue book

Sue C

hi
I am looking for one of the wide range readers blue books. I am not sure what the number is I have purchased 2 but they are not the correct ones. 2 of the stories in the book are The sun and Wind, (they each try to get the man to take of his coat) and the totoise and the geese ( geese fly with stick so totoise can hold it in his mouth and they take him with them)
I hope you can help me I have been searching for several years without luck.
Thank you
Sue

Hi Sue -
Thanks for your note re: your search for one of the Wide Range Readers Blue Books. Alibris has more than 60 copies of these books, but the descriptions of the contents do not include the kind of detail you have in your note.
Any chance a local library may have these books. If so, you may be able to narrow your search by checking out the books in this series they have.

The stories you want are in Blue book 1 of the Wide range Readers Series

We read these in Primary school in the 60s and I have been collecting all in the Blue and Green Series. Now just missing Green Books $ and 5

Thanks for these comments. The book I am looking for (my childhood copy has almost disintegrated) is Blue Book II; this has the story of how Lok and Shan made fire, the Chinese dog with the curly coat and the three presents. I would be very grateful to know where I could get another copy for my grandchildren. Mine was 1950's edition but I'd be happy with a later one.
