I'd just like to point out that Dr. Sadler had been schooled in Christianity, and he had a brilliant psychological mind. He studied under Freud for a year, and as a psychiatrist he applied the theories of Freud, Carl Jung, and other contemporaries. He was also a surgeon. I'd like to think that his material and spiritual understandings made him an open minded recipient of the Urantia papers. He was truly a skeptic, like Harry Houdini, and he worked to disprove mediums. For him to eventually believe the sleeping subject, and for him to adopt the revelation of these papers as a superior account of the story of mankind and their relationship to the cosmos and God, should be a pretty telling statement. I also would like to note that publishing the book was not a profitable venture for the commission, and they actually spent most of their savings to get the message out. Since its initial publishing, the Urantia book has not established any sort of for profit ministry or mega church. I hope that you read the book with an open mind without fear of what others will think.
