Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove is a breathtaking story about two Texas Rangers, Gus and Woodrow, who decide to resettle in Montana. The first part of the novel is all about their home life in a little town called Lonesome Dove. It is here that they plan their journey from the Texas sands to Montana's green pastures. Along the way, the men face many hardships, including death. Each is tried with a different task and sets out to achieve it. There are also side stories about others traveling to different places, but all those stories are destined to collide with the Lonesome Dove men. If you love a story with romance, life and death situations, becoming of age and friendship, then you'll want to read Lonesome Dove.
