I got the book thinking my interest in the Celebrity Fit Club show might keep me interested in the diet. I had been unable to drop any weight on diets that had worked for me very well before, Atkins and South Beach. After three weeks of struggle I would drop maybe two pounds. On this diet which I found extremely easy to follow, I dropped ten pounds in a week!! That gave me the motivation that I needed to hang in there, the second week I only dropped two but the extreme pain in my feet from neuropathy has virtually gone away. I am now able to walk on the treadmill at the gym for thiry minutes daily when I had not been able to do this at all for 3 months due to pain. I have been off from work for a week and do not have a scale at home or at the gym but I can tell that my clothing continues to fit better and am confident when I weight myself today, at the end of my third week, that I will have lost more than the twelve pounds promised. More importantly I have been less and less "bad" foods but not feeling deprived. I think the key for me has been the smoothies that I make for breakfast and as a late night snack. I highly recommend it to anyone and have shared it with my family and my friends at work.
Thank you Dr. Ian for your wonderful book. I think for another printing it might be helpful to intersperse chapters with some inspiring true stories from some of the successful celebrities or regular people like me.
