This book opened my eyes to our food situation and I have already changed the way I purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.

Beautifully Written and Passionately told..
Kingsolver never disappoints and this book has an element of the sacred to it. This book is for anyone who cares about good story telling, food, family, animals, and the fate of our world. Who is this not for?

This book would be good to use in a environmental class because of the issues they address. This book brought back memories of my childhood of when we had a garden and canned some of our vegetables. This is very useful for anyone who is interested in the environment and looking to make changes.

Spreading the word
This is a wonderfully written, warm book. Hopefully lots of fans of Kingsolver's fiction will read this book. I personally like it a lot better than her well known fiction. It is factually correct and really addresses the issues surrounding sustainable agriculture in a personalized as well as universal way. She makes subtle considerations easily understandable and assimilated and entertains while she is doing it. Well done! Read this book - it will really draw you in!
