From an outsider's perspective most of her life, Isabel Allende gives a interesting look at Chile throughout her lifetime while also writing a semi-autobiography (there is a lot of personal reflection). Her accurate descriptions of the Chilean people and spirit as well as North American culture are astonding! It is a great book, I would highly recommend it to everyone~
