Includes remarks on the early settlers, the Pequot War, the Revolutionary War, West India trade, much more, followed by historical sketches of Middletown and surrounding communities. Dark blue cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in blind, 295 pages plus errata. Light external wear, mainly a bit of light rubbing to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, sound text block, clean pages with some scattered foxing, gift inscription on preliminary blank.
