When he writes about the game itself; protecting the cage, defensing against other extraordinany players he always combines a deep love for the game with an amazing understanding of it. Lightly bumped corners and some mild edgewear to an unclipped jacket. Hard to find.
Finding this book again since I lost it in the late 70's was great. I loved this book then, and still today it is a great book. As far as a hockey memoir this book rates up there in detail, humor, the challenge of playing pro-hockey, and a purely defenseman's view of hockey. It is colorful and entertaining. The Rangers in the early 70's? An awesome insider account of the "New York Zoo" of pro sports. However, if you are a Bruin fan like me, you are not going to like Park's Anti-Boston comments, but it still is fun to read.
