It originally appeared in serial form in Harper's Bazar. The intro depicts the immense problem of dealing with the 12 different authors and their ideas and egos. Authors include Henry James, W.D. Howells, Mary Wilkens Freeman, etc., most contributors to the Harper magazine. Mark Twain refused to be part of the project. Fine in a fine dust jacket.
