Worse, they learn that the undertaker, Fenton Breece, has been grotesquely manipulating the dead. Armed with incriminating photographs, Tyler becomes obsessed with bringing the perverse undertaker to justice. But first he must outrun Granville Sutter, a local strongman and convicted murderer hired by Fenton to destroy the evidence. What follows is an adventure through the Harrikin, an eerie backwood filled with tangled roads, rusted machinery, and eccentric squatters - old men, witches, and families among them - who both shield and imperil Tyler as he runs for safety.Hide synopsis

I am a huge Stephen King fan. I read somewhere that he said this book was one of the best books he had ever read so I decided to read it.
I paid WAY too much for this book! It was incredibly hard to read with words and phrases that I have NEVER heard of. The subject matter is of necrophilia (sp), but it never goes into detail, THANK GOODNESS! It ends with a little twist that is kind of cool.
I do have to admit that when I first began to read this book, I was very interested in the main characters which made me keep reading it.
All in all, it was an ok book.
