NO HOME LIBRARY SHOULD BE WITHOUT A COPY
A terrific book, filled with more than 200 well-reproduced photos of events great and small as recorded by intrepid photographers of United Press International. The captions have been "refreshed," to add fascinating new facts.. For example, the fellow pictured holding his banker hostage at the point of a shotgun was committed to a mental hospital. There, he somehow found the photographer's home number and called it to see if he could get a copy of the picture.
There is something here for everybody -- hard news, sports, war, disaster, and even some silliness recorded by photographers of UPI.
Disclaimer - it's a wonderful book even if I am the "author" and former UPI photographer/editor who put it all together
