Advertising More Disturbing Than Ingredients
After viewing the movie "Supersize Me", I am no longer shocked by the ingredients in fast food. What truly disturbed me about this book however, was the history of marketing in the fast food industry. It is a most brilliant scheme and is the perfect example of deception and commercialization. The way the book was written seems as if it was targeted towards young readers, for some parts were redundant. However, it kept my interest. I think I would have liked the book better if I felt it were targeted towards adults. Also, if it were longer and had more statistics, imagery, and went more into detail. Like the unabridged addition. The first book is more of a brief guide, but they did a great job in getting their point across.
