It is the fourth of Marian Keyes' internationally best-selling Walsh sisters novels which also include Watermelon, Rachel's Holiday, Angels and now The Mystery of Mercy Close. 'I had to go back to New York and try to find him. There was a chance he mightn't be there but I had to give it a go because there was one thing I was certain of: he wasn't here.' Anna Walsh is officially a wreck. She's covered in bandages and she's lying in her parents' Good Front Room dreaming of leaving Dublin and getting back to New York. To her friends. To The Most Fabulous Job in the World. And most of all back to Aiden. But her family have other ideas. And Aiden, for some reason, seems unwilling to get in touch. What happened to send Anna so far from all that she loves? And is Aiden really the only one who can put it all right? "A rare blend of genres, a richly enjoyable satire and an inspirational tale of one woman's triumph over despair". (Daily Telegraph). "Keyes writes brilliantly, as always, about love, grief, jealousy and friendship". (Daily Mail). "High quality entertainment". (Marie Claire). Marian Keyes' international bestselling novels include This Charming Man and Last Chance Saloon. Two collections of her journalism, Under the Duvet and Further Under the Duvet, are also available from Penguin.Read Less

I read Anybody Out There? last spring, and while packing up the house to move, I passed it on to a girlfriend. But, wonder of wonders, upon reaching my destination I found that I "missed" it. In such a short time the characters had become my friends. The Walsh sisters had become someone to turn to when I'm blue. So I hopped out to the local bookshop and paid full price for my second copy - it's really that good! Now, I'll LEND it to friends to read, but it's a stand-by on my bookshelf for whenever I need a laugh, a whimper, or a shoulder to lean on.
The joy of this book was the slow unraveling of the story and the unfurling of the mystery, so my advice is, "Don't read too many reviews, just go get it and find a couch to curl up on." Those who have recently taken a trip to New York will especially find this book delicious.

It?s Anna?s Turn in the Spotlight!!
Marian Keyes is a powerhouse ? to me, she's a combination of Maeve Binchy mixed with a little Sophie Kinsella but clearly a phenomenal talent in her own right. I think I enjoyed this Walsh sister book better than the others (while, like everyone else, patiently waiting for Helen?s book) it was funny, sad, long, but in a good way ? there was no skimming or counting pages with this read ? enjoyable, I?m glad I saved it because there are not many books as good as the ones that Keyes pens and I?m so glad she recognized her talent and is doing what she?s supposed to be doing in this life ? Well Done ? Bravo, yet again to Marian Keyes!
In this tale, Anna is in her early thirties, married and a victim of a tragic car accident. The story opens with her convalescing at her parents? home in Ireland. There have been many reviews of this book and I don?t want to spoil it, so I won?t go into too many details ? if you read the product description and other reviews, then you already know what the book is basically about. There is an interesting twist mid-way into the book that will keep you reading. This was a really good read ? highly recommended!

Loved this book
I am a big fan of Marian Keyes, especially her books about the Walsh sisters. I eagerly awaited the release of this latest story about Anna Walsh, and it did not disappoint. It was funny, sad, and heartwarming. I read well into the night when I bought it, and got up early the next day to finish it. Marian Keyes fans will not be disappointed.
