harry smith. Poor. No dust jacket. 112 p. This hard to find copy is in very bad shape...It has been taped and repaired over the years. Pages are separating from the spine. But all pages are there. This one could be read but then it would sit in your collectors Cabinet. The price reflects the condition.
Very Good. (Mine is c1916, but Illustrator is clearly stated to be Joseph B. Guzie, not "Harry L. Smith" as per the catalog [a name not even mentioned under any capacity in book]. An even smaller nit, subtitle is "SleepY-Time Tales" [my cap on the catalog-omitted "Y"]. ) Book Tour: NO DJ (given 1916, did it have one? ). Board outer corners, 1/8"-1/4" wear/toe-in, incl. cloth holes to 1/8". Top/bottom spine, 1/8" wear. Dark blue cloth not faded or darkened at spine, but green text print is likely faded (still readable); also, wear showing along spine/faces margins. Board edges, no dings affecting boards but some cloth color wear, and a few cloth holes to 1/8". Cover faces have some dirt spots and shelf wear. Green graphics & text on front likely faded (less than spine). Page edges tanned, with a few dirt & wear spots. Page faces lightly tanned, clean except 1st/last sheet & inside covers have a few dirt dots, and p1 has felt-penned-crossed-out words (probably a brief gift dedication w/ names, possibly date, can't make it out), and a smallo (1/2") retailer label. Page corners crisp except at covers. Fast, Professional Shipping w/ Tracking. "Best Descriptions, Toughest Grading! "
