Interesting book. Not the "final book to read on the subject", but informative and easy to read.

Historically good read
This is a book that our local book club reviewed with our reviewer who is a geologist. She made the book understandable as there was a great deal of facts about rocks and other geological information. The author made it an interesting story, especially when he was actually telling about the San Francisoco earthquake of 1906. The photos were of special interest as they cleared showed some of the unbelieable effects of the earthquake. As a non-fiction book this one definely kept me wanting to read the entire volume.
