I found this book to be extremely informative (with great recipes) without being overly "preachy." Benefits of eating raw, and the use of a raw food diet for weight loss were straightforward and sensible. It's stuff we all know about anyway, but don't necessarily think we can do -- if you are looking to lose weight and are committed to being healthier I think you'll agree. I bought it for maintaining a healthy diet, for more recipes and information on eating raw, and staying vegan as much as possible. I have given this book as a gift to a young woman interested in both losing weight and taking better care of her body and it's helped her do both.
One nice thing about the recipes is that they don't call for all the machines and gadgets typically used in raw/living food preparation, such as a dehydrator. That would be appealing to a lot of people.
