When Sandra is widowed tragically early in her early 40s, with no children to distract her, and a career as a college lecturer only keeping her mildly busy, she feels she needs a new direction in her life. I bought the book because it was about knitting which I used to do and about grief which is where I am now with the loss of my husband. The book did give me a new perspective on loss, it was worth the read. And it inspired me to get out my knitting needles again.
