Reed Shelton organized this survival weekend, even hiring the best guide in the region for their trip. But little did they know that surviving the elements would become the least of their worries. During their first night of camping, an unearthly wail pierces the calm of the forest. Then something emerges from the dense woods and begins pursuing them. They aren't the only ones doing the hunting. Something much faster, more relentless--and definitely not human--has begun to hunt them.

This is my second time reading Monster. I loved it even more this time and I had a hard time putting it down. My work suffered for it. If you love nature and the outdoors you will really like this one by Mr. Peretti! He really did his home work in putting together the characters and the setting in this book. When I read it the first time I lived in the desert. Now I live in a Pacific Northwest logging town. Mr. Peretti's book could have been written in my back yard! I always buy the hard copies, cause I know I will be reading this book again and again, just like Frank Peretti's book "Oath", I have read that one 4 times.

I read this book in about three days! I could not put it down and was scared at parts to even turn the lights off because of the "Monsters". Wonderful and decent lananage. I enjoy scary and twisted books and this book was both and then some! Makes you think twice before going camping!!

I just finished this book in two days. It was very hard to put down. It is about a husband and wife who go on a weekend survival in the woods. Beck the wife gets taken by a family of "Monsters". It is one of those books you could read more than once.
