If like me you've read everything else Hem wrote read Byline. Many of his articles read like his best descriptive fiction. Especially interesting is the exact outline of "Old Man & the Sea" in an article from the 30s, also his detailed account of the African plane crashes in the 50s. Try to get a copy of the book jacket if you can as it has an interesting drawing on cover. A valuable addition to my collection.
