An excellent and addictive read

by shpix on Jul 21, 2007

This diary provides an interesting and inciteful view into the life of this 'mature modernist' writer. Woolf is candid and open in this diary, and her feelings about her work, personal life, fears and worries is a non-stop ride that keeps you glued to the pages. The diary includes her thought processes through some of her major works including, the 'mind boggling,' Orlando. For anyone interested in writing, this book will be of help, however, for those interested in 'modernism' it is an imperitive read. Reading this diary has given me more determination and confidence in my own work.
