Nietzsche Redux

by Patrick on Dec 20, 2012

Walter Kaufman is perhaps the best translator of Nietzsche's works. At least I've not found anyone better. Nietzsche is a delight to read, but difficult to reach. He is not merely a writer who plays with ideas, but one who seriously challenges the reader to come to terms with what his or her life really looks like in a world where the "truth is ugly". This is not a country for young men. But old men (or older women), yes.
