A Different Detroit

This true story reads like a novel and is a glimpse into a world of prejudice, immigration, hope and sheer courage. The 1920's in Detroit was a world where industrialization was changing the city and its previously held values in regard to race. I was fascinated by this book and ordered two more for close friends I knew would like this story.
