Pages crisp and clean except for bands of age-toning and a little glue rippling at the endpapers; binding is rather relaxed, but square and secure; hard cover shows some shelf rubbing at spine ends and corners, otherwise excellent. Jacket bears some wear and chipping at the spine ends, milder rubbing at the corners, a little fading down the spine, and a small brown spot at the right front, otherwise excellent, now protected in a clear sleeve. 48pp.; illustrated, including eight color plates.
