I have reviewed the 2002-2003 book, but these are just more of the same excellent reviews. These Bargain Guides contain many of the less expensive CD issues, concentrating on older recordings which sold for approx 40-70% of what the newer recordings sold for. Thus they discuss more of the older recordings many of which are present in the complete volumes, and most of these recording appeared before the CD era in cassette and record (vinyl) format. One learns how much better the sound and presence is in the new CD medium, but also further comparisons of artistry, which is ultimately the most important aspect.
