Good one to read on nice calm day at the beach.

I enjoyed this book as I sat on a beach in Ashtabula Ohio where the account of the deadliest american maritime disaster began. So far it has been passed into four sets of hands after mine and all have enjoyed it since. It would be highly recommended especially if the reader is interested in extreme weather events, the history of meteorology, the shipping industry, and life or death struggles at sea. As I sat on the shore of Lake Erie I could almost see the blinding snow and the monstrous waves that ripped massive ore boats to pieces. I am glad the author took the time to piece together a factual account of what took place out in the great lakes during The White Hurricane, so it may never be forgotten.
