A ok story but not Zane's best

by innertemple on Oct 2, 2008

This book was moderately good, not as good as Zane?s Nervous/Addicted series but a fun holiday read. I started reading this book at the recommendation of my wife and have to admit. I stopped several time until recently when I finally picked it up with resolve to finish. The story has a relatively slow and generic start. It is clear that Zane is putting forth the background of the key characters: Chico, Anastasia, Diana, Tomalis, and Zetta but the short story doesn?t allow for a development that connects to the motives of each. I would have liked to know more about how Tomalis and Zetta met. Otherwise, its hard to see how he even married the woman. I would also like to know more about Diana?s relationship issues. Other then the shallow depth of characters it was a fun holiday read similar to Naughty or Nice by Eric Jerome Dickey. Take a couple oversexed individuals, a pinch of confusion, 2 cups of rich folk, and a major holiday season: Boom! You get a health dose of drama pound cake. A lot of great tasting calories but, very little nutritional content: That?s what you can expect from this story. If your board and/or lonely during the holiday season pick this book up and have at it. If your looking for a steak dinner move further down the table. I give this book 2 out of 5 stars.
