But her past won't let her rest, and her grief for Benton Wesley continues to grow, not diminish, as does the rage within Lucy, her niece. Then the architect of her changed fortunes contacts her from his cell on death row: deformed, blinded by Scarpetta's own actions, incarcerated in Texas strongest prison, Jean- Baptiste Chardonne still has the ability to terrify. But, unknown to Scarpetta, there are other forces behind the wolfman's apparent actions, invisibly shepherding her and those closest to her towards eliminating those who threaten them all. And it is all orchestrated by the one man in her life who knows every nuance of her soul. Visit the author's website at www patricia- cornwell.comRead Less

Another good book
Hi Another great book by Patricia Cornwell who is a great thriller/crime writer. She includes so much in each of her books wanting to carry characters on throughout the set. I have found that since reading her last book in the Kay Scarpetta series I really want to know what happens next. In the books yopu feel as if you know the characters even envisiging them when reading which to me is the sign of a great read. This book links back to a previous character who appeared in the previous tale. The story has twists and turns that you really do not expect. The knowledge of pathology and medical terms is brilliant and very well researched which make all of Cornwells books so interesting and eduacational. The places she uses are real which adds to the realistic feeling that sometimes makes you scared at night but not to the extent where you want to put the book down. I found this book intriging and emotional in a way that I really enjoyed. i would recomment the whole set of Kay Scarpetta books from the first to the last and if you read them in order a real love story evolves too that of intimate relationship to family and lots of extras besides
