Practical guide for parents and school
As a parent of a preteen boy with aspergers I found this book to be helpful in my day to day handling of potential outbursts, a new way to get more isight into how my actions can affect my child.
This book offers real life examples and has valuable information for you use at home and to bring to your school to help them understand your child. It can also help you evaluate how your school is dealing with your child in the class room. It includes many of the forms your school should be using in your IEP and FBA but may offer you something to bring to the table at your next meeting.
We love our children and do not want them to be labeled as disruptive or defient, this book offers real life examples of what adults can do to see the triggers and head them off before it becomes a problem allowing your child to succeed and your class room to be a happier place. Your teacher should read this book too!
