The U.S. version of the prospectus that was issued to promote the first edition of Crowley's "Book of Thoth", which was subsequently published in a limited edition of 200 copies. This prospectus also includes an announcement on the back page for a number of study classes run by Max Schneider of Beverly Hills, who was an Agape Lodge member at that time. Near fine condition.
Hardcover. Small Quarto. xii + 288 pp. Blue cloth with gilt title, etc. to spine, color frontispiece and plates. The first Weiser edition of Crowley's masterwork on the tarot, with color and black and white reproductions of the card designs by Frieda Harris. Cloth lightly rubbed at edges and extremities, spine ends and corners lightly bruised and chafed, pages edges a little darkened and dusty, endpapers unevenly browned with a few faint spots, unmarked. Overall a solid clean VG+ copy in near VG dust jacket (Dust jacket browned at spine, inner flaps and reverse side, a little chafed-chipped and creased overall, a few small tears to edges, clipped. )
