Fascinating history of Spain with much that I hadn't learned earlier. For example, The Spanish inquisition began befor the Reforation was even thought of. The Millineium was coming, and the end of the world. But from 1492 the Spanishbegan driving both Moslems and Jews from their countries. By the time Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor came along, they were in constant opposition to Moslem and those "heretics" the Protestants. I am learning plenty, but I find it difficult to take notes because of Kamen's method: write an Introduction to the subject, then repeat and expand.
