This is the first of Stan Lynde's Merlin Fanshaw westerns so if you like Lynde's stuff (or you like westerns), the Bodacious Kid is the one to start with. The kid is tough and willing, but not the infallible, heroic type (shoots himself in his first gunfight but does get his man in the end) who always comes out on top. Sometimes Merlin is just plain lucky.
Narrating the story himself. Merlin will be accused of horse theft, lied to, and shot, usually before breakfast.
Fast paced and humorous - interesting characters and a hero who isn't guite there yet. Stan Lynde won't bore you!

You'll Love It
Mr. Lynde is a true genius!
The verbiage is so descriptive, you will not only picture in your mind (in full color) what is going on, but hear the horses and smell the scents as well.
Very difficult to put down, so if you have to work, read this on a weekend.
I've already ordered the sequel!
I grew up reading Mr. Lynde's comics in Montana. He keeps getting better!!!
