This is one of the classics for traditional wooden boatbuilding "how-to." It shows you in detailed pictures and text how to build a wooden boat and explains why you should do it that way, too. Highly recommended as part of any boatbuilder's personal library.

The Gold Standard for traditional boatbuilding
Everything from picky little construction details on sliding hatches to complete boat plans, with a good dose of boat history thrown in.If you're only going to buy one book about building traditional boat designs, this is the one. And if you're starting a library on boatbuilding, it's the one to start with.
My only complaint is that the modern book isn't the same size (physically) as the original; a magnifying glass is a must if you're going to study the plans. Or, since they're printed clearly on smooth paper, you can copy them and blow them up.
