Gilt lettering to spine and front cover remains clear and bright. Frontispiece of Browning, with original protective tissue in place. Two previous owners neatly inscribed their information in ink to front free endpaper, else, text clean. Binding sound. Remains a sound, user friendly copy.

Very bright and sharp cloth and titles, minute touches of surface loss at tips of corners and spine ends; touch of cloth not fully pasted down at upper front corner. Binding tight and strong with hint of slant toward upper end; page edges very bright and clean. Moderate uniform toning to clean, unmarked pages, though prev. owner's name in large hand beneath upper edge title page and in beautiful hand with date October 1914 on ffep.
