Unbelievably Amazing

by SomethingSpooky on Nov 3, 2008

I don't even like Motley Crue very much, yet I love this book so much that I've read it two or three times. Some of the stuff those guys pulled is almost unbelievable and the best part is that it's the band themselves recounting the stories, not distant "unnamed sources" like in other salacious biographies.

The Dirt

Well, definitely a good steamy read that I didn't want to end. I wish there was more though, as it seemed a bit condensed or rushed, like there was way more they could've wrote about. Especially Mick, he's almost never heard of in the book. The whole thing really is just Tommy and Nicky going back and forth on their version of things, with Vince thrown in once in awhile, and Mick just a couple times. It's almost forgivable when you learn of his health problems, along with how reclusive he is, but it should be titled: "Tommy & Nicky, Their Version of Things". Hahaha, really though. It is a good book none-the-less, and if you're a fan, you'll definitely want it. Lots of good stories in there and worth the money, as there's a few other books out there about them, and now Tommy and Nicky have their memoirs out, so if you want more stories and inside dirt you can always choose one of these other options.

UNFORGETTABLE

by deverss on Jan 8, 2008

I am an avid reader of many types of books. Romance, Horror, Mystery, Biography, Sci-Fi you name it, I read it. But this book was one of the most engrossing books I have ever touched. Of course as a child of the 80's Motley Crue was always a favorite, but I would have never dreamed that a lifestyle like this was possible, and they lived to tell about it. I laughed at the shenanigans, I cried at the deaths. Your heart truly goes out to the men in this book. If you never read another book in your life, read this one. You will not be sorry.
