Welcome to Cedar Cove - a small town with a big heart! Grace Sherman's life was happy and untroubled - until her husband just disappeared. She's spent the last six months desperately searching for an answer. What could be so awful that a devoted husband and father would go without a note or a warning? But life can - and does - go on. Cedar Cove is abuzz with talk of weddings and babies. Justine - the only daughter of Grace's best friend, Judge Olivia Lockhart - recently eloped and is blissfully happy. Grace's daughter, Kelly, just had a baby. And it looks like her older daughter, Maryellen, is seeing someone new, someone she's keeping a secret...Then there's Jack, who's been pursuing a romance with Olivia, and Zach and Rosemary Cox, who're having a few problems. And Grace's own mystery - will she ever find out what happened to her husband?

I have recently begun to read Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove series. It is a mixture to mystery and down home fun. Love them!

what happen to grace husband
when grace finds out her husband of thirty plus years has left her with out saying goodbye. Grace is lost to think maybe he left her for another woman. later the truth does come out. I didn't care for the ending that much I felt I was left hanging to think about how things were going to work out for some of the people in the book. The story was good and kept me going but I thought the ending could had been better. The ending made me think there could be another book after this one.
Publishers Weekly, 2002-08-05 Life goes on in the small coastal town of Cedar Cove, Wash., as real life does everywhere with small dramas and personal epiphanies in this sedate slice-of-life drama. The last time readers visited Cedar Cove in Macomber's 16 Lighthouse Road, family court judge Olivia Lockhart had refused to grant a divorce to a young couple trying to come to terms with the loss of their infant daughter. This time around, Olivia has problems of her own; her ex-husband wants her back, which makes her on-again, off-again relationship with newspaper editor Jack Griffin even rockier. Elsewhere around town, Olivia's daughter finally follows her heart and marries her high school sweetheart instead of the troublemaking older man she'd been dating; Zach and Rose Cox find their marriage falling apart when Rosie begins neglecting her family for volunteer work; and Maryellen Sherman, the manager of the local art gallery, becomes pregnant after a brief affair with an artist. Despite all these goings-on, the book's main focus is librarian Grace Sherman, whose husband of 35 years is still missing after disappearing six months earlier. The first few chapters, in which Macomber reacquaints readers with the town and its occupants, may feel sluggish to those familiar with the series, but this smooth yet simplistic offering will claim the reader's attention once the introductions are over.
