Very Good. No Jacket. Book Hard Cover. First Revised Edition. Science Fiction, Prehistory. The true first edition, 1897, was limited to only 500 copies. The author did revisions in 1913 after seeing the effects of the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. This novel concerns Llama City, a colony of Atlantis, which is on the site later to become San Francisco; it is a romance among a highly technical society. Dark green cloth with gilt lettering on spine, gilt lettering and design with black rules on front cover. Gilt on spine faded, spine slightly faded, slight wear to tips and corners, dust soiling to top and bottom edges, foxing to page edges extending slightly into outer margin on a few pages, otherwise very good.
Good in good dust jacket. The text has underlining and notation, 350 pages. Rare first edition only 500 printed. Original red boards, decoration, gilded lettering. The boards have several scuffs. Corners bumped, moderate wear. Good overall condition, considering age. Mark on the inside front cover from removal of book plate. The binding is tight.
