Well illustrated with b&w reprints of early drawings and engravings, including several by Jefferys, some photographs, both in colour and b&w, maps, documents, portraits. Bibliography, List of Illustrations, Index. Map endpapers. Bound in scarlet cloth titled and decorated in gilt to top board and to spine. The dust jacket is poor, having a seven inch tear from the head of the spine into the front panel and with some cockling to the rear panel, fortunately with no evidence of water damage to the binding or to the text. An excellent, and well illustrated, history of the Loyalists in Upper Canada, well up to the high production standards that one came to expect from the Mikas. An overweight volume, may require extra postage.
