I always admired Coach Wilkinson and the Sooners but wanted Notre Dame to end their streak because I went to high school with Nick Pietrosante who was an All American at ND. This was a great story leading up to see what happened that day. I enjoyed the book.
I was a student at the University of Oklahoma from 1954 to 1958, so I was there when the 47 game winning streak was being built. I knew many of the players and my cousin is mentioned in the book.
