Smaller format olive-tan hardcover with dark brown type. No dust jacket. The book has a very minor cover edge bump at the bottom and a slightly sun darkened spine, otherwise the book is in near fine condition. There is an officer's name in pencil on the front endpaper. A training manual of over 270 pages, with photos and illustrations. Actual WWI photos of trenches and armor is included. The book also has a few pages of advertising in the back.

Being a practical manual for the training and instruction of officers and men based on the latest information from the battle fronts of Europe, including the attack and defense of trenches, the construction of trenches and obstacles, mining and countermining, bayonet fighting, the use of grenades and bombs, liquid fire, asphyxiating gases, machine guns, gas masks, steel helmets, periscopes, etc. 274 pp. with numerous illustrations and photographs throughout. Tan boards with black lettering on cover and spine. Extremely scarce. Soiling on cover, but is overall bright and clear. Gutters are cracked and will need retightened, but the contents of the book are clean and tight.
