The Story of Good Old Ray

by shellac78 on May 20, 2009

Anyone who fondly remembers Ray Moore on the radio in the Early Bright really ought to read this. The story of the man himself, from Broadcaster's Labourer to Broadcasting House, plus a spattering of his unique philosophy and humour to make it very readable. The stories of "Management", the wonderful (?) Bog Eyed Jogs, Ray Coniffe, His Orchestra, Chorus, Sensible Shoes and Individual Fruit Pie, this book will bring it all flooding back. It won't make any more sense when you remember it, but it'll make you smile all over again.
