It's not your normal mystery story, and it was excellent. Tony throws some unexpected suprises here and there in the book. It will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. The ending was unexpected, which made it even better. I can't wait to read another of his books.
Tony Hillerman uses an active imagination to produce a good detective story in an unlikely setting with characters that are not run of the mill. The storyline is well developed and the reader is gently lead to an unanticipated ending. To find a fault, the book, perhaps could end 20 pages sooner.
